Preschool is an exciting new adventure in your child’s life and our teachers are prepared to foster your child’s early academic experiences. The Creative Curriculum® supports children by building their confidence in our classrooms through hands-on exploration while developing independence. Our teachers are committed to creating a safe and secure learning environment where children feel comfortable to explore and take risks. Our daily schedule provides flexibility and consistency, as well as a good mix of physical play, social/emotional development and early academic lessons.

Our teachers track your child’s progress through our child assessment portfolio system and daily communication tools. Teachers use this information to share your child’s growth during Parent/Teacher Conferences. Our comfy atmosphere provides “your child’s home away from home” by Fostering Friendships, supporting Emerging Emotions, building Healthy Beginnings, Sparking Curiosity and promoting Language Development.

Supporting the Whole Child

Fostering Friendships

Fostering Friendships provides your Preschooler with experiences designed to support developing relationships with peers while promoting independence, confidence and the desire to discover. Our teachers build Fostering Friendships by modeling respectful relationships, discussing and reading books about friendship, providing opportunities for children to work together and teaching problem-solving skills such as conflict resolution.

Emerging Emotions

Emerging Emotions lays the foundation for Preschoolers to learn how to understand their own feelings through positive social interactions with their teachers and peers. Teachers build Emerging Emotions by acknowledging their childrens’ feelings. They respond promptly and consistently to children’s needs, model cooperative behaviors, talk to children at their eye level and create areas in the classroom where Preschoolers can work together.

Healthy Beginnings

Preschoolers are constantly developing physical skills as they explore their environment and expand their horizons. Healthy Beginnings provides activities and games designed to help support muscle development, coordination and manipulative skills, which allows Preschoolers to master basic skills such as walking, running, hopping, jumping, kicking and balancing.

Sparking Curiosity

We help your Preschooler Spark Curiosity by providing opportunities to build a positive approach to learning, exploring new concepts through hands-on activities, building memory, reasoning and problem-solving abilities. Sparking Curiosity lays the cognitive framework for later learning and academic success. Teachers provide learning opportunities to boost science and math skills as well as early reading skills through our all-inclusive Zoo-Phonics® Enrichment Program.

Language Development

We build Language Development with your Preschooler by talking to them, using both verbal and non-verbal gestures and building receptive and expressive language by telling stories, reading books and singing songs. Through thoughtfully designed activities, your child will listen to and understand increasingly complex language, use language to express thoughts and needs and use appropriate conversational and other communication skills. Our Language Immersion Spanish program offers children an opportunity to expand their language development.
