8 Amazing Father’s Day Gift Ideas from Children of All Ages

Father’s Day holds a special place in our hearts at Rainbow Child Care. But as much as we love this holiday, we know that finding the perfect gift can be a challenge, especially when you have a small child.

In honor of all the amazing fathers that we get to interact with, we have put together a few gift ideas that can help your child make this year’s Father’s Day a special one.

1. A Mug with your Child’s Picture

Not just any mug will do! For Father’s Day, consider gifting a special mug with your child’s face or one of their drawings printed on it. While this Father’s Day present is pretty simple to make, it will go a long way with dad, believe us.

This a particularly good first gift to give from your newborn. Each time dad takes a sip from his new mug, the smile that greets him will bring a huge one to his face.

2. Tickets

Sports tickets, concert tickets, movie tickets. We bet that there is a set of tickets out there that has dad’s name all over it. Can’t get hold of them by Father’s Day? Have your little one make a homemade ticket that can fill in for the real thing. Both your child’s creation and the real thing will make dad happy.

3. Something He Can Use around the House

Even when a father takes a day off work, he’s not really off the hook. There are still things to do around the house, and it’s difficult to be productive if little ones need attention. This Father’s Day, tell dad to take the day off and do whatever he’d like to.

4. A (True) Day Off

Even when a father takes a day off work, he’s not really off the hook. There are still things to do around the house, and it’s difficult to be productive if little ones need attention. This Father’s Day, tell dad to take the day off and do whatever he’d like to.

5. Breakfast in Bed

Who says breakfast in bed is limited to Mother’s Day? Everyone likes being pampered once in a while!

6.  A Homemade Arts and Crafts Gift

Whip out the hand paint, string, colored paper, and pasta. Handmade cards, macaroni necklaces, and glitter-filled pictures can go a long way when they are from dad’s little one. Down the road, these gifts will turn into special reminders.

7. Homemade Treats

Put together a goodie basket of dad’s favorite treats. Whether they are homemade brownies or BBQ sauce, there is something yummy and easy to give dad to show him how much he means to the family.

8. Homemade Calendar

Did you take an awesome vacation last summer? There are many online services out there to create a custom calendar for dad, complete with all the amazing family photos you’ve taken over the last year. While your child may not be able to put it together themselves, they can surely help you pick out their favorite pictures!
