Patrick G. Fenton - CEO Patrick founded Rainbow Rascals Learning Center, Inc. in September 1986. His vision was for the company to become leaders in the industry for offering quality childcare.
Patrick married his wife Laura in 1983 and within four years welcomed his first son, Gregory. Two years later his second son Reed arrived and two years later, his third son, Adam completed the family. Laura & Patrick are very proud of their boys and continue to enjoy watching them grow into young men, ready to tackle any challenge. He enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, reading, working with charity organizations and overseeing the team at Rainbow. He continues to work towards his on-going goal to improve the quality of childcare and to assist with educating our leaders of tomorrow. Prior to founding Rainbow, Patrick worked for Price Water House where he utilized and enhanced his management and accounting skills. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Western Michigan University.
Paul Hafeli - Chief Financial Officer Paul joined the company in 2005 and oversees the Accounting Department for Rainbow Child Care Centers.
Paul obtained a Bachelor's Degree from Oakland University and successfully completed the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination .
Karen Krygier - Chief Operating Officer Karen is responsible for the overall operations of the company and also oversees program development, education services and the opening of new centers.
Karen has a continued focus on providing the best early learning experiences to children and their families. Her energy and passion for the industry has played a significant role in the company’s success of executing their vision: Quality through Excellence. Karen is an active member of NACCP, NAEYC, NCCA as well as an active participant in the Leadership Institute. Karen has served as a CDA mentor for several years and holds a degree in Early Education.
Rodney Blight - Director of Construction & Facilities Management Rod joined Rainbow Child Care Center in 2004, with over 18 years of construction experience. including owning a successful construction company. Rod brings organizational and business administration skills and an eye for quality workmanship to Rainbow.
He has held a Michigan Builders License since 1985 and reached the status of Certified Master Builder and Certified Master Remodeler through the state. Since joining Rainbow, he has also achieved the credential of Certified Playground Safety Inspector through the National Playground Safety Institute. Rod's professional memberships include: National Association of Home Builders (N.A.H.B.) and National Playground Safety Institute (N.P.S.I.).
Paula Montayne – Human Resources Manager Paula joined Rainbow Child Care Center in 1993, she held center level positions before taking over the Human Resources Department in 1996.
Paula is an active member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), National Child Care Association (NCCA), Michigan Chamber of Commerce and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Paula has education and experience in Human Resource Management as well as Human Resources Advanced Management, a Child Development Associate Credential from Schoolcraft Community College and she is in the final stages of obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
M.G. Shapiro - Director of Communications M.G. joined Rainbow Child Care Centers in 2005. In 2006 he was promoted to Educational Coordinator. From 2006-2011 M.G. acted as both Educational Coordinator and Operations Manager. In 2012 M.G. was promoted to Director of Communications
M.G. received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Michigan.

Executive Team
In 2003, the company began doing business as Rainbow Child Development Center in an attempt to enter the market within “Corporate America” and expand their client base.
Paul has over 20 years of diversified accounting and managerial experience with responsibilities including overseeing the accounting, administrative and operational activities for growing, profitable entrepreneurial companies.
She joined the Rainbow team in 1997 as a Center Director where she managed corporate sites for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Ford Motor Company. After five successful years at the center level, she became an Area Manger for Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana where she lead a team of twelve managers. Shortly thereafter, she moved into her current position as Chief Operating Officer.
Rod has an active roll coordinating new project start ups with the Operations Department including the execution of State Health, Fire and Environmental and Child Licensing requirements.
Her volunteer experiences include: Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Detroit, Michigan Humane Society and serves as Vice President of the Fraternal Order of Police Associate Lodge 123.
In his role as the Director of Communications he is responsible for the company’s website, social media campaign, SEO and internal technologies.
